Early Words
Brand: Early Words is a collaborative initiative designed to emphasize
the everyday things parents and caregivers can do to enhance literacy and language
development for children aged 0 to 5.
Challenge: To create an attractive web site people can easily navigate
through and learn from. To provide an engaging experience for people who first
come to the site, to encourage them to return often and use as an information
resource. To design an architecture that can be maintained by the client.
Solution: Developed a variety of whimsical graphic messages around
the benefits of reading to children at an early age. Integrated a fly-out menu
to keep the site orderly. Used vibrant colors to stimulate interest.
Result: The Early Words web site offers useful information in a fun
and visually stimulating environment, which has increased the number of pages
views and return visitors.
